Everything not in its right place - Splashy Babies - Geek Chat
Just discovered this morning that my 35mm stills camera, its case, and all it contained is also missing. Damned thieving miscreants. I hope they develop brain worms… and that this is the last of the missing items. It’s put me right back in a bad mood, though am trying to shift that with loud, raucous music.
If that doesn’t work then I’m due to meet John, Louis, and John’s old chum, and renowned music journalist, Nick Kent for drinks this evening. Weird drinks and tall tales should do the trick.
Went to London yesterday for work but, upon entering the office, Tom informed me that Sean and Nigel had flown off to Finland the day before to help out with Eurovision. So spent a couple of hours working and then trundled off to meet up with my dear friends Sam and Debs and their new progeny, William. A bit of a walk around the park, watched some babies splashing around in a swimming pool, and then to the pub to discuss the the spectrum of programming, the death of the web (as an interesting field for us, anyway), and the rise of robotics.
Headed back to Brighton on a packed, rush hour train, and met up with Louis and his work colleagues in a pub for a few hours, and then lurched off through a light drizzle to catch some strange bands play in Hove.
Right, time for a cup of tea, and to dig the video camera and laptop out and do some more Holland Park planning before this evening kicks off.
